Forged in Timber: Hand-Burned Ring Round Table (no Legs)
There will only ever be one of these.
It starts as a solid pine glue-lam disk, built the same way every round table leaves this workshop, but this one had a different job from day one: bring the One Ring to life in timber.
Running the full circle of the top edge is an inscription in the Black Speech, burned into the wood by hand using pyrography. It’s one of the oldest timber-working practices there is, older than the router bit or the CNC head by a long way. The lettering is then filled with deep red glitter, so the words catch the light as if they’re glowing from within.
At the centre sits the feature: a ring carved directly out of the timber and finished in gold flake. Run your hand over it and you feel the weight and shape of the ring itself. It’s a tactile centrepiece as much as a visual one.
Pine glue-lam gives the disk the strength and stability of a much bigger board without the movement problems of a single slab this size.
Hand-burned. Hand-finished. Never repeated.
